A House with a View

Sitting at 7,000 feet above sea-level on a terraced side of a hillside
overlooking the Great Rift Valley gives Rift Valley Academy a spectacular view. Here are a couple of pictures to attest to that fact. One is of Vic sitting at the picnic table in our front yard with the front of our house behind him. It's a duplex and ours is on the right - the door you see. One is taken from that porch looking southwest out over the valley. Over the hedge is an athletic field, a roof of a building and then the valley. The sun is on the valley and the mountains are slightly visible beyond. The picture of Mt. Longonot is taken from down at the end of our yard more toward the west. We are enjoying our house with a view!

  1. I love the picture of Vic in front of your house! Glad you are adjusting and you have people helping you know what's what. Hope the first days of school go smoothly.

  2. It looks like a beautiful country.
You haven't missed alot not getting to the Finger Lakes this year. I'm sitting here in my sweatshirt.
You two are brave. Grandma Child would be proud of you as we all are.

  3. Finally we have pictures. It's amazing how a picture give one a much clearer idea of what you've been writing about. The view is breathtaking! 7,000 feet above sea level must present some interesting challenges.
We pray the first days of school go smoothly and you both enjoy the students and this unique experience.
    God bless you,

  4. I'm not surprised that you're starting another garden. I hope that the water holds out for you. Just how many loads of laundry will you have to do to keep the garden as vibrant as the one you left at Bull River Bluff. You are both in our thoughts.
